Based on some feedback, I have made the RSS/Atom Feed subscription options more obvious.
I had decided to avoid making these links obvious for two reasons.
The first is that the traditional orange icons stick out too prominently in my clean blue colour scheme. Oh well. No-one else likes my colour scheme anyway.
The second reason is that I never liked these links pointing to the internal machinations of the web (rather than human-readable content) being made visible.
I originally relied on the auto-discovery tools of your feed aggregator to take care of finding all the possible feeds. It turns out while that works well in the browsers, such as Firefox and IE7, some feed readers like Google Reader don’t list all the choices. This means you can’t find the comments feed (and hence the feedback).
Also, Firefox and IE7 now display RSS and Atom feeds in a human-readable format, so the ugly links aren’t so ugly.
To simplify matters, I no longer advertise the RSS 0.97 and RSS 1.0 feeds. They are still present, but won’t be auto-discovered any more. Let me know if that causes problems.
