I have a great idea for another plugin for WordPress
It detects when people are redirected from Reddit (or /., Fark, StumbleUpon, etc.) and inserts a little bright yellow text box on the WordPress site.
It should explain how to upvote the site, as appropriate. More importantly, it should point out that the best place for your comments is on the actual page, not on the social news site where the author probably won’t see it.
Anyone want to implement this, and save me from only seeing some comments on my ideas when I occasionally inspect the server logs, and trace backwards?

Hmm, I had prettymuch come to the conclusion that the comments on reddit are not *intended* for the author to see.

Maybe you are right, Alastair.
When I am presenting or performing, I often explain that I really hate it when people in the back row are mumbling rude comments about me to their friends. I ask that the people who want to insult me do so loudly and with good enunciation, so everyone can hear.
I guess I am asking for the same thing here on the blog.

Maybe you could turn this around, and add comment aggregators for various social new sites to your blog, so you can read them all in one place.
